About Us
Swelihle Lamabhele is a multi-sectoral business enterprise based in Melmoth, under the Mthonjaneni Local Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. The Company is the brainchild of Mr V.C. Ntuli, a dynamic and visionary businessman who established the entity in 2016 to participate meaningfully in the mainstream economy while creating employment opportunities for disadvantaged members of the community.
Mr Ntuli's founding belief is simple: even the most disadvantaged individuals possess the capacity and willingness to contribute effectively to the country's economic growth.
The Company specialises in timber harvesting and construction services. Its establishment was inspired in part by the presence of Mondi Forestry, which operates roughly 25 000 hectares of prime commercial forestry land in KwaZulu-Natal with branches in the Mthonjaneni area, and by the Black Economic Empowerment opportunities that have emerged within the sector. Customer satisfaction is the foundation Swelihle Lamabhele builds its growth on.

Our Approach
Removing trees without proper planning or care can do far more harm than good to a client's property. Swelihle Lamabhele accounts for each client's specific needs — from immediate income generation to multi-year forestry management — applying a zero-waste approach that makes use of 100% of the timber harvested.
Long-term forestry management yields income over many years, while short-term management delivers income immediately. We work with each client to determine the right approach.
Forests need ground-level light to regenerate. Forestry thinning and patch cutting let light reach the ground, so the next generation of trees can take root.
Selective removal of mature and low-grade trees gives the remaining "crop" trees the room and light to flourish — growing the stem, and the revenue, in turn.
